HOW WE ARE (IN ALL SPACES)

This Full Moon in Cancer, the final full moon of 2023 is beckoning us to get real with ourselves. Who are we at home? Who are we everywhere else? Does the energy align? You have to be the one to make that call. Especially as we approach the end of the year, we have to examine who we appear to be and who we actually are in the moments when it matters the most.

When you are at home in yourself, wherever that might take place, how do you feel, what are your qualities, how would you describe yourself?

Perhaps there is a sense of ease as various facades start to fade. Begin by noticing your physical body. When relaxation comes over, your soul-self will shine through. Laughter comes easily, ideas breeze through your mind, and you genuinely feel excited for the possibility of futures to come.

Now, can you take this person out into the rest of the world? Can you learn how to handle uncomfortable situations from this place? The next time something happens that you genuinely don’t want to happen, laugh about it, allow ideas to flow, and hype yourself up for all that is possible as a result of what happened. Seriously, give it a go! Of course, mourning might be necessary and needed, depending on the moment, but it’s also quite wondrous and uplifting to allow yourself the ease of moving forward.

Tend to yourself as you are in all the places you inhabit. Align with who you are and how you feel on the inside and your daily and work tasks will come a little more easily. Being there for others, family, friends, and even strangers, will become second nature to you because you are so resolved to your purpose. You’ll realize that you are not the only person in your vision for your life. And those around you will be so inspired by your own transformation that they’ll begin the process of cultivating their own.

The end of the year and the final full moon wants us to do our best to get it right, to follow the path of dharma, or life purpose, in all facets of our lives. What does that mean for you? Only you can recognize and realize this. Yoga tells us that enlightenment is a very specific experience, and I trust that it is, but what if, for some of us, enlightenment is a process that happens over time, little by little? What if it’s a culmination of all the moments and all the times we tried and failed and got even more in tune with our paths? Collect your moments, continue living, take risks, move on, bear fruits, and enjoy it all! Time is limited, but we are infinite.
